Day 6 and Day 7 in Paris – Gardens, Zoos, and The End!

We started Day 6 with a long walk to the Arc de Triomphe. It is a symbol of triumph, which means victory.

Then it was off to the zoo!

The zoo was inside this pretty garden.

I saw porcupines,

and monkeys!

We spent Day 7, in another garden. The Luxembourg Gardens had a huge playground. It had poles, big slides and cool swings! I loved it!

It was time to go back home! Our last morning, we took one last walk on the River Seine,

I had one last drink of my favorite new drink, diablo menthe which is mint lemonade,

and then we got on the airplane. I loved Paris, but I was also glad to be going home! So was Avik!

Day 5 in Paris!

On Day 5, we went to the a museum about Claude Monet. He is an impressionist artist. That means he makes pictures that feel like certain feelings, but might not look exactly real. My favorite picture was this one of lilypads.

Next, we went to a fancy restaurant. Mommy said it was supposed to look like an old train station, but it didn’t look like that to me. I put a white napkin in my lap. Mommy let us eat ice cream for dessert.

In the afternoon, we went to the neighborhood called Montmarte. It is on a big hill. Near the train entrance, we saw this wall. It says “I love you” in all the different languages in the world.

We climbed a big hill with our scooters to see the Dali museum. I saw statues of melting clocks. I’d seen a picture of them in school, but not statues before.

We also visited Sacre Coeur, which was another church. We did not go inside because there were too many people, but we did see a big view of all of Paris. We used a cable car to go back down to the subway.

We had a dinner of noodles – yum – and mommy made us get our hair cut for school. I did NOT like this.

Day 4 – Disneyland Paris!

On day 4, we went to Disneyland Paris! The lines were long but we had a great time! Avik went on his first rollercoaster ride. I was thinking it would be a toddler one, but actually this one was for teenagers and adults. He did NOT like it. I did not like it either – too scary. We also did a rocketship ride. Avik was the driver, but he didn’t want to pull the lever to go up because he’s afraid of heights. At lunch time, we sat next to a group of brothers who were fighting. One peed on the other one and almost hit me!!! That was crazy! Afterwards, we got cotton candy! At the end of the day, we watched a fun parade! I took pictures of every character except Tinkerbell. Avik and I liked Elsa and Anna from Frozen the best.

Day 3 in Paris!

On our third day in Paris, we took a very long walk down the River Seine. I played hopscotch.

Avik went around and around this circle.

We saw this heart painted on the wall.

We finally got to this cathedral. It’s called Notre Dame. I was very cold so we didn’t go inside.

Beside it was this funny guy. I think he was trying to get us to visit a science museum. What do you think? IMG_2897

We also passed over this bridge full of locks. They are love locks. That means that people put their name on the locks and put the locks on the bridge. When they promise to love each other forever, they throw the keys in the water.

At the end of the day, we went to this Magic Museum and saw a magic show. It was mostly in French but the tricks were still funny.

Day 2 in Paris

We saw lots of things on our second day in Paris, like this sign in the park…

And these funny sprinklers in a fountain…

and this art museum, the Centre Pompidou.

My favorite art piece was the long trail of balls. It was made of lots of different kinds of balls like exercise balls, fish bowls, and one big ball that looked like a car. The balls went from smaller to bigger.

Here is me with my camera. Do you like my pictures?

From England to France

My last day in England was very exciting! I started the day at the At-Bristol Science Museum with Umika and Avik. We went to a planetarium. It was inside this big ball. My favorite part was when the guide showed us the big dipper and bear, and told us stories about the stars.

Avik really liked the animation exhibit.

That night, we drove back to London and stayed with one of mommy’s friends. We watched a movie called Brother Bear, but it was too scary so we went to bed instead.

The next day, we dropped Naani off to take her airplane home, and we took a train to Paris. The train was called the Eurostar. It went underwater but we did not see the water.

This was the nearest playground to the place we stayed in Paris. We went there the first day.

This is the picture of the river next to the playground. It is called the River Seine. We walked along this each day.

Tomorrow I’ll tell you more about my adventures in Paris!
