End of 3rd Grade!

Sorry, again, for not posting this earlier! I’ve had so much to finish, as it is almost the last week of school.

Anyway, me and my friend, Gabby, made a youtube channel called  Artterrific Singerlicious, where we post music videos, and different arts too! For example, dancing, drawing, painting, and more! Please go check it out!

Also, we went on a yacht, for my friend, Zoie’s birthday, it was lots of fun! We swam to the beach and back. I ❤️  it!

To add, we had an amazing time watching the baseball tournament. We had to sign up to root for one of the other teams. That meant we had to root for two teams, ISKL, and my school, SAS.

We’ve had lots of events in school too, such as The International Fair. In my class, we’ve had the Science Fair, Writer’s Café, the TEDxJunior@SAS, the STORYLINE ONLINE@SAS, and our Playday.

In the TEDxJunior@SAS, we shared our opinion pieces with our parents. My opinion piece was about how people should stop cutting down trees.

In the STORYLINE ONLINE@SAS, we shared our realistic fiction pieces. I worked with my friend, Claire, to plan it, but we wrote separate pieces.IMG_9790

In our Playday, we went to the field and played all morning. There was a class tug of war challenge, and we won! Then we beat the boys, 6 times, and the whole 3rd grade beat all the 3rd grade teachers!

Lastly, the most recent one……..In the Writer’s Café, we shared our learning in writing through-out the whole year.

As you can see, we’ve had an amazing year. I can’t believe it’s almost ending! I hope next year is this amazing!

My School’s International Fair!

Hi, sorry for not blogging lately! I’ve been so busy, I’ll do a catch-up post later.  Anyway…….

One of the most exciting things that has happened in the last months was my school’s international fair! You might be thinking, “How is that exciting?” Well, I got to sell my Smiling Designs t-shirts there!

Our SmilingDesigns table!

Also, for the fair, we printed a new season of t-shirts, with new designs and our bestseller-My Dreams Can Fly, all of which you can buy at via. SmilingDesigns4Kids.  My favorite shirt out of the second season has to be the GIRLS! tee, because it shows that girls are strong (possibly stronger than boys)!

The bestseller for the second round was also the GIRLS! tee! I loved the international fair, it was a great experience, and I learned a lot!

This School Year

It’s almost the end of the school year. I’m really sad because I will miss my 2nd grade teacher. This year I learned a lot in school such as history about Singapore.

One of the best parts about the year was Discovery Time in our class. We get to pick an inquiry and we learn stuff all the time. In my first discovery time project, I built a dollhouse with my friend. Second, I made slime with two other friends. Now I’m researching about snow owls.

Also this year, my brother and I launched a company called Smiling Designs. Right now we are just selling t-shirts but once we get bigger, we will move on to other stuff such as more t-shirts and bags. here is a link to Smiling Designs: Shot 2016-05-09 at 8.06.18 PM

This year was really fun! I wonder who will be my 3rd grade teacher and who will be in my class? I hope you had a fun school year too!

The Singapore Science Center

On Friday, me, Avik and daddy went to the Singapore science center it was really cool! There was a dark shaped box that you put your head in. When your head pops out, it looks like its in a pretend fruit bowl.

At 3:00, we saw a fire tornado show.

Near the end, we got to touch the glass.

When it was time to go home, we stoped and took a 3D picture of us going into a mouth.

Before we left, my dad promised us pokys and ice cream so we ate that as well. If you come to Singapore, make sure you check out the science museum!

Spring [No] Break!

This Spring Break, I had a lot of company. My mom sometimes called it spring-no-break. Then I said “there is no no”.

Over Spring Break, I went to Singapore. We saw my friend Zoe there. We also went to the Gardens by the Bay. We went to the Singapore Zoo too. We went to Smiggle and we swam a lot.

Then we came back to Bali. The next day, I celebrated Easter at the Pan Pacific Hotel near Tanah Lot. I had a sleepover with my friend Denise.

Two days later, my friends Violet and Jasper came. This is their dad. Uncle Todd was very funny.

We all went bowling together.

Then came the day for me to go back to school. My mom said “yeah.” I said “no”.

On April 14th, Violet and Jasper left. Now it is a little quiet at home.
